My beautiful day (or rather days)

I love redbud trees. They just make me smile. Unfortunately they are only red (or really fushia) for a little while and then they turn green just like other trees. But for a time at the end of February until mid-March I just love spotting these beautiful trees.
Today, my DH took me to breakfast and then out for a drive. We saw several really pretty redbud trees while we were out.

We passed by this funky little place called the Style Station. It is an old gas station that sells vintage clothes.
This picture is of the mannequin they have dressed and sitting on the tailgate of an old car. From the highway it looks real.

Here is a picture of a cow that just caught my eye. It looks like he has a mask on his face.
My DH and I picked out some new herbs for my garden and some vegetable seeds. He planted everything for me. I will show pictures later as they grow.
Yesterday I drove to a small town where my EGA was having their annual retreat. My mom's health prevented me from staying overnight, but I did go for the day. I helped some members with their floss tag rings that we are finishing up at the next meeting with the EGA.
I showed them the biscornu's that Mary gave me for examples. It helped for them to see the actual end product. They thought they were very beautiful.
And I ACTUALLY stitched some on my biscornu! Put away the cattle prod Mary!

I will leave you with this picture of the remaining daffodils at the Arboretum. I took this picture on my way to the retreat. They are dying out and so it will be another year before I see them again. So enjoy the bright sunshiny color while you can.
All in all a great weekend!

I have the same weakness for the Dogwood trees as you do for the Redbuds. I sure miss them and would trade a dozen Palm trees or Pine trees for just one Dogwood.

Those are lovely piccies. The redbud tree is stunning. We have jacaranda trees over here that flower for a couple of months usually beginning at the end of November....a mass of purple flowers and no leaves....a stunning reminder that the school summer holidays are almost upon us!

I'm looking at the redbuds here in balmy NC where the temp is 27 tonight & it's snowing. But the weekend is 71, 74, 72. Go figure! Love all the pics.

Love the pictures. I for one cannot wait for warmer weather. here in PA we are waiting for some snow to hit us. They are calling for 1-4 inches and LOTS of wind. YUCK!! My freind said it best today when she said she "loves" living in PA where there is snow and cold until it is hot enough to peal the paint off the walls.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I'm sitting here looking at your gorgeous redbuds and daffy with a foot of snow out my window. Waaaaaaaaaa
sob sob. Not fair!

LOL Love the photos I just wish they were up in my neck of the woods. I've got a month or more before I'll see them here. :(

Great pics. Your daffs are out way earlier than here in the UK - they're only just greening & budding in sheltered spots. Got lots of snowdrops & crocus to keep things pretty though. :0)

That's just not fair!! I'm sitting here freezing my patootie off and you all have daffys and redbuds ;)
I can't wait to see what comes of the seeds your DH planted (good man btw). I looooove anything gardening-related!! I'll be starting more seeds this week but inside rather than out.

Donna,
What awesome pictures. Looks like you had a wonderful day. The cow does look like he has a mask on! I nominated you for an award on my blog if you would kindly step on over and pick it up!
